Why Hello There!

I know, I know...I've been very absent lately. But between cuddling the cutest boy ever, family vacations, Impressed. commissions, and building my new Jamberry business...the blog has kind of gotten pushed to the back burner. I don't get as much out of this as I do the other endeavors, so it doesn't always get top priority. But there has been a lot going on, so I figured a photo dump (at the very least) was due.
Decided to try on Daddy's shirt and walk around like a big boy

Then decided to be a pirate instead...

Showin' off his teefers!

Chad and I went camping with some friends and did a wine tour on the Leelenau Peninsula.  This was taken at our stop at Northern Latitudes Distillery.  Their Horseradish Vodka makes the best bloody mary's you've ever had.  My husband hates bloody mary's and still orders them when we are here.  If you ever make it up to northern Michigan, you HAVE to check them out.

While we were out getting our wino on, Miles was chillin' with his Great Aunt Cheryl and cousins Dominic and Samantha.  He had an absolute blast.  I'm sure he can't wait to go back!

This was our stop at Chad's favorite winery - Leelenau Cellars.  We may or may not have purchased an entire case of wine from here....

And this was the conclusion of our tour.  It was our second tour with the amazing Kim and Mitch of Traverse Bay Tours.  Any time we go back, we'll be touring with them.  And when you venture up north, you should too!

After camping it was time for some new Jams!  This one is Metallic Fade.  I love it.  I'm so sad it will be retiring at the end of August.

Miles loves to "talk" on the phone.  Here, he would dial on the keypad (he was using the emergency dialer because the phone was locked...had to keep close watch and make sure he didn't accidentally dial 911!), then say "HI!", then repeat.  It was SO CUTE.

Aaaaand...that's basically been the whole of my existence since I last updated.  Tres exciting, no?

So for my last trick, I'm going to shill my business once again - because we found out today about a (nearly unheard of for Jamberry) fabulous incentive for joining the company this month.

And with the upcoming holidays and the great incentive to join, now is the perfect time to launch your business!  Contact me to learn how you can earn a $50 kit rebate (or host a party and get your kit for FREE)!

Also, if you’d like a look-see into my team’s page on Facebook to see why we are one of the fastest growing and highest producing teams in the company, send me a message and I’ll set you up for a 24 hour sneak peak!  Or, just go sign up!

And as always, Stay Chelish, friends.

Wirl-Mamas

Wirl Mamas

The story of Wirl Mamas came about when four moms decided there needed to be a site where real people can go to find real answers, interact with others and escape the everyday pressures of being a superhero. There needed to be a place where the “unspoken” lived and the “stories they never tell you” finally come out. After chatting over numerous playdates and coffee breaks we came up with the idea to share with the world What Its Really Like (WIRL) to be a Mama, Moma-to-be and/or a parent on one all-inclusive website. We found that it was exhausting to search forum after forum, page after page just to come up with a whole lot of jumbled thoughts that confused us even more, who has time for that? Instead, we created our blog to inform and connect with others, always sharing our honest opinions about what it was really like for us, even when its not pretty.

Just Mi!

I've been blogging for a little over a year now. I realize that people are looking at this page to get a picture of who I am, so I want to keep it current. I don't consider myself new to blogging anymore, but I definitely haven't had the time to devote to my blogging like I've wanted to. There are still a lot of things I have to learn about blogging, but that's what makes it exciting! The original intent of my blog was to chronicle my hair journey. I've also taken to blogging about myself and some of the things I get into in my every day life. My blog is like a diary. I like to explore myself here and share that with you. My life is changing daily and I'll use my blog to talk about it! So stay tuned!! I'm about to take you all on a joy ride!

My Creative Days

Hello! I’m Lindsay and I am thrilled you are here on My Creative Days!  I started this little blog in April of 2013. I wanted an outlet to let my creative juices flow. I love to be creative in my day, my home and with my kids. I am obsessed with old wood, rusty treasures and everything in between. Finding frugal and creative ways to decorate our home, create a fun craft or do an activity with the kids is a passion of mine. And now, being able to express my ideas on this blog is a dream come true.

After Eleven

After Eleven: a blog created to journal life's precious moments with hopes of one day passing it down to my kiddos.  I want my kids to be able to look back at memories of their childhood. (and we all know scrapbooking just isn't keeping up with today's technology...so I chose this route). When they wonder what the style was "back then" they can just look back at this blog on my W.I.W. posts and be able to laugh at the ridiculous things I wore. I want them to be able to see love stories about their mom and dad. I want them to be able to look back and read the things that were on my heart at certain seasons in life and how each situation was handled.  Along the way of creating this fun little journal for my family, I hope to make some new blogging buddies!

Happy Anniversary, Monkey Boy

me and chad...it's love.  the monkey kind.  muches and mores, bunches and crunches.  we're gonna make it ;-)
♥5/13/05♥
♥7/16/10♥

Today is Chad and my 4th wedding anniversary.  To celebrate, a photo retrospective of not only the last 4 years, but from the beginning of this crazy journey with my monkey boy.

Life as a Family of Three 2013-.....

4 years.  Doesn't seem like much when compared to the 9 years we've known each other/been together.  But certainly a hell of a lot more than anyone ever expected when we first started dating.

We don't really go together...like at all.  Outside of the Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre, we don't really share a ton of common interests.  We have different friends, different tastes in music, different ideas about what constitutes an acceptable temperature to keep our home or whether or not it's important to watch the pre/post game Tigers coverage...but somehow we make it work.

It's cliche, but I think we really do complete each other.  We fill in each other's gaps.  We work together, we talk, we play, we joke, we each wake up every day and make the choice to love the other.  He's infuriating sometimes, but he's my best friend and I love the little family we made together.  I'm so excited for the next 4, 40, 400 years.

your arms are my castle, your heart is my sky.  you wipe away tears that i've cried.  the good and the bad times, we've been through them all.  you make me rise when i fall.
'cuz every time we touch, i get this feeling...everytime we kiss i swear i can fly...can't you feel my heart beat fast? i want this to last. need you by my side.  everytime we touch, i feel the static...everytime we kiss i reach for the sky...can't you feel my heart beat so, i can't let you go.  want you in my life.

What (Not) to Wear #4

My thoughts...
My hair is a mess on Thursday.  As is my living room.  Do you like the little bicycle I added to try and cover it up?  //  I got a lot of comments on the fedora.  I'm glad Chad told me to buy it.  //  I had enough forethought to take pics over the weekend...but lazy dressing doesn't make for very interesting pictures.  A cute baby sure does, though.  //  Monday I finally styled the chambray in such a way that Chad didn't absolutely hate it.  He still thought it was a little Canadian Tuxedo-y and would have worked better with the red pants, but I consider that a win.  //  Tuesday I braved white on white.  I had spaghetti for dinner and came out of it unscathed.  The tank top ended up being super tight though - a lot tighter than I realized - and I was really self-conscious about it most of the day.  //  Today...ah today.  I was up way too late watching the All-Star game (Go AL!), then up most of the night with a feverish, teething, allergy-ridden, miserable little man.  Getting out of bed was hard enough.  I put no effort into getting dressed.  #sorrynotsorry

Stay tuned for my second post today where I gush on and on about how much I love my husband...or something :-)

Stay Chelish, friends.
