Today is Chad and my 4th wedding anniversary.  To celebrate, a photo retrospective of not only the last 4 years, but from the beginning of this crazy journey with my monkey boy.

Life as a Family of Three 2013-.....

4 years.  Doesn't seem like much when compared to the 9 years we've known each other/been together.  But certainly a hell of a lot more than anyone ever expected when we first started dating.

We don't really go together...like at all.  Outside of the Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre, we don't really share a ton of common interests.  We have different friends, different tastes in music, different ideas about what constitutes an acceptable temperature to keep our home or whether or not it's important to watch the pre/post game Tigers coverage...but somehow we make it work.

It's cliche, but I think we really do complete each other.  We fill in each other's gaps.  We work together, we talk, we play, we joke, we each wake up every day and make the choice to love the other.  He's infuriating sometimes, but he's my best friend and I love the little family we made together.  I'm so excited for the next 4, 40, 400 years.

your arms are my castle, your heart is my sky.  you wipe away tears that i've cried.  the good and the bad times, we've been through them all.  you make me rise when i fall.
'cuz every time we touch, i get this feeling...everytime we kiss i swear i can fly...can't you feel my heart beat fast? i want this to last. need you by my side.  everytime we touch, i feel the static...everytime we kiss i reach for the sky...can't you feel my heart beat so, i can't let you go.  want you in my life.

What (Not) to Wear #4

My thoughts...
My hair is a mess on Thursday.  As is my living room.  Do you like the little bicycle I added to try and cover it up?  //  I got a lot of comments on the fedora.  I'm glad Chad told me to buy it.  //  I had enough forethought to take pics over the weekend...but lazy dressing doesn't make for very interesting pictures.  A cute baby sure does, though.  //  Monday I finally styled the chambray in such a way that Chad didn't absolutely hate it.  He still thought it was a little Canadian Tuxedo-y and would have worked better with the red pants, but I consider that a win.  //  Tuesday I braved white on white.  I had spaghetti for dinner and came out of it unscathed.  The tank top ended up being super tight though - a lot tighter than I realized - and I was really self-conscious about it most of the day.  //  Today...ah today.  I was up way too late watching the All-Star game (Go AL!), then up most of the night with a feverish, teething, allergy-ridden, miserable little man.  Getting out of bed was hard enough.  I put no effort into getting dressed.  #sorrynotsorry

Stay tuned for my second post today where I gush on and on about how much I love my husband...or something :-)

Stay Chelish, friends.

Mommy & Miles Monday

I had such a great weekend with my little man.  It was so hard to leave him at daycare today - I just wanted to spend all day snuggling and playing like we had for the past two days.

He was also an excellent napper this weekend and let his momma get a ton of work done, which was a nice change :-)

Saturday morning we ran errands - he's always so good when we go out, I don't know how we got so lucky!  We got home just in time to eat some lunch and take a nap.  Then once Daddy got home, we met up with some friends for dinner.  Miles had fun sharing his crayons with his friend Ethan.  Ethan had fun throwing his food at me :-)  I couldn't be mad though - truthfully, I was jealous of the arm the kid had.  Miles...we need to work on that if you're going to be pitching in the majors by the time you're 22.

Sunday we chilled at the house in our PJs all day.  And we worked on Miles throwing skills (video below).

Of course, in all our fun times, I neglected the camera for the most part. I need to take more pictures again, but I'm also OK that I haven't been, because it just means I've been playing with my boy instead of holding a camera in his face...I guess that's just more incentive to try and get Glass back...even though I think Chad wants it more than I do...but I digress.

Check out our future Tiger from this weekend.  We were even twinsies on Saturday and he helped me with my daily outfit picture :-)

 Stay Chelish, friends.

When people ask us why we ended up in Chattanooga, we don’t really have a good answer. We knew we wanted out of Illinois, and Chattanooga was beautiful. Why not? We were young and adventurous after all…"

"Hi, I’m Annie and I’m the writer and photographer behind Annie’s Noms! I love baking, recipe developing, reading and motorsport. If I’m not reading, I’m baking or photographing new recipes to share with you! I’m hoping that blogging my culinary adventures will act as some sort of therapy for me. I have an eating disorder. I’ve only recently admitted it to myself, although my family and friends had already guessed. I’m grateful for the fact none of my family pressured me, they let me come to terms with it myself."

We started out doing the whole long distance thing which included dating across continents, a few times. Long distance was one of the hardest things I've ever done but I can't express enough how great it was for our relationship."

"Hi, I’m Mallory and I love to cook, bake, take pictures and spend time with my husband and family. During the day, I am an accountant, but in my spare time I love to create things in my kitchen and share them with others. I grew up on a farm in Ohio and moved to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania when I married my husband. This blog allows me to share my recipes with friends and family that live far away and gives me a creative outlet after a day in the office. Outside of work and the kitchen, I enjoy exploring the area with my husband, traveling to new places, visiting old friends and making new ones. Thanks for visiting."

What (Not) To Wear Wednesday - wk 3

I admit this week is lacking in photos.  I'm finding it harder to come up with outfits that I haven't already posted...and this is where I'm limited.  Once I put together an outfit I like, I keep wearing it over, and over, and over again.  I have to figure out how much longer I'm going to commit to this post.  I obviously can't do it forever.  Hmm...something to ponder.

Not pictured:
Sunday: Jeans, some shirt that I can't remember, some flops.
Monday: Skinnies, Circle Print Top, Black Flats
Tuesday: Skinnies, Striped top, Black Flats

Thoughts...LOVED my 4th of july outfit (not pictured, gold flops from old navy),  So comfy and I felt so cool in my fedora.  My regular jeans are getting big.  Or stretched out.  I've tried to buy new ones in the same style/size thought and they don't fit the same and the size down is too small.  They're really comfy, but they're a little saggy.  I struggled with shoes again today.  I really need to get that pair of nude flats.  I ended up going with leopard because the black was too dark and I didn't feel like the brown went with the grey.  I've never been a shoe person and that's becoming more and more apparent.  And Saturday starts my new haircut (ladies love my new haircut).  It's so nice to have some shape to my hair again!  And finally, apparently, I really like stripes...
